베트남 한국어 학습자의 종성 인식에 따른 성조 실현 연구

Abstract

A study on the realization of tones by Vietnamese learners of Korean language following their recognition of final consonants; Studies related to Korean language intonations have been mostly the analyses of predicates‟ intonation patterns. In the experiment, the forms of syllables containing final consonants ‘ㄱ’, ‘ㄷ’, ‘ㅆ’, ‘ㅂ’, ‘ㄴ’, ‘ㅁ’, ‘ㄹ’ appearing in intonation curves were identified through the analysis of the forms of pitches appeared in the first syllables of predicates in voice files of reading of presented texts by five participants that completed the first semester of undergraduate studies of Korean linguistics. According to the results of the analysis, the articulations of Vietnamese learners of Korean language were not different from those of Korean native speakers in that they showed intonations in the form of LHLL curves in phonological phrases of predicates in declarative sentences but their gaps between individual pitches were shown to be a little larger than the normal gaps between pitches of Korean native speakers. In particular, when final consonants were implosives, the pitches of the relevant syllables appeared as modified tones in which the slope of Vietnamese language‟s tones, Thanh Sac and Thanh nang became larger so that the curves stood out further. That is, the intonations appearing in the articulations of Vietnamese learners of Korean language appeared in the form of individual tones not as intonation curves. In educating the intonations of Vietnamese learners of Korean language, tones expected to stand out relatively less should be presented together with original tones so that the learners can accept the intonations more naturally.
