Abstract: | ABSTRACT Political communication plays an important role in both verbal and nonverbal communication. In addition to verbal code, nonverbal code plays an important role as a transparent explanation of political communication. Choosing a specific context to analyze the nonverbal communication, the researcher provides the reader a general knowledge of nonverbal communication and American politicians’ gestures in disagreement showing in particular. From this, enormous impacts of low context culture on the disagreement expression of American politicians have been manifested. More specifically, the study began with the literature review on the terms related to the topics. Then by using descriptive and qualitative methods in data analysis, the researcher can find out the answers for two research questions. Also, the suggestions for further research will be drawn out. This study hopefully makes a certain contribution to a world of knowledge and numerous researches with the relevant topic. |
